Using Video to Promote Your Business

August 17, 2010

Rohit Bhargava writes a great article on using video to promote your business – check out the full article for details on how to make the video but I think his best stuff are the suggestions for what to video – he says:

1) Answer your customers biggest questions.  Better than an FAQ, video can help you address effectively your customers/clients most common questions.

2) Creating an “unboxing” video - Place a camera and video tape you “unboxing” the product, just like the customer does after ordering your product.  Show the packaging, what they will receive and the basics of setup.  A video is a much more interesting way to learn the “quick steps” rather than read a brochure.

3) Do an Office tour – a virtual tour turns your place of business into a real place with real people instead of just a brand or a website.

4) Interview your best customer – you may not be able to get everyone who buys your product or service to agree to be interviewed, however if you do have someone who is a great customer and willing to be interviewed on video - that’s powerful stuff.

5) Demonstrate your product or service in action – can you setup a  camera and show your product or service in use?  A demonstration video is a great way to let customers expereince your product or service before they buy.
