Experts Predict that Digital Natives will continue to use social networking tools even as they get older.

July 9, 2010

The Pew Research Center recently asked technology experts whether they thought digital natives would continue to use online social tools even as they aged and took on more adult responsibilties – 67% of  895 respondants agreed that digital natives would continue to be “ambient broadcasters who disclose a great deal of personal information in order to stay connected and take advantage of social, economic, and political opportunities [online].”   The basis for this belief is that digital natives have already expereinced the benefits of developing relationships online and are likely to continue to expand on those benefits as they grow older.
