Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T are all looking to expand into the prepaid phone market as the high end contract user market becomes saturated. Verizon is working with some rural carriers to sell off portions of 4G wireless spectrum which the rural carriers could then use to bring high bandwidth connectivity to underserved areas.
